Clear Guidelines for a Positive Learning Experience
安心して学び続けるためのレッスン規約
These practical guidelines help families and tutors protect lesson time, communicate clearly and maintain a calm, dependable learning routine.
1. Lesson Plans and Payment
EnglishGen offers private one-to-one lessons in 30- and 60-minute formats. The selected plan, lesson frequency, tutor, schedule, price, payment method and due date are confirmed personally in writing after the free trial.
No enrollment fee is charged. A trial request alone does not commit a family to paid lessons.
2. Scheduling
Lessons are arranged at mutually agreed times and, whenever possible, with the same tutor. Regular attendance helps children feel comfortable and make steady progress.
Requests to change a recurring schedule depend on tutor availability and should be made before the next set of lessons begins.
3. Cancellations and Rescheduling
A lesson may be cancelled or rescheduled without charge when EnglishGen receives at least four hours’ notice before the scheduled start time. The new time is subject to tutor availability.
- Cancellations with less than four hours’ notice normally count as a used lesson.
- A missed lesson without notice normally counts as a used lesson.
- Genuine emergencies may be considered individually. Families should contact us as soon as reasonably possible.
4. Refunds
Completed lessons, late cancellations and missed lessons are non-refundable. If a family needs to stop a prepaid plan, the parent or guardian should contact EnglishGen. Requests for a refund of unused lessons will be reviewed individually. Any approved refund may be reduced by non-refundable payment-processing fees.
Nothing in this policy limits rights provided by applicable law.
5. Late Arrivals
The tutor will remain available for the first 10 minutes. A lesson that begins late still ends at its originally scheduled time so that the next student’s lesson is not affected.
After 10 minutes without contact, the lesson is normally treated as missed and counts as used.
6. Internet and Technical Problems
If a problem occurs on the EnglishGen tutor’s side, the lesson will be rescheduled without charge.
If the problem is with the family’s device, audio or internet connection, we will try to reconnect, but a replacement lesson cannot always be guaranteed.
7. Tutor Changes or Cancellations
We aim to provide a familiar tutor. If the scheduled tutor is unavailable, we will contact the family and arrange a new time. A substitute tutor will only be offered when appropriate and agreed upon.
8. Learning Environment and Parent Support
Children should join from a quiet place with a suitable computer or tablet and working audio. Parents are welcome to observe or provide quiet support, especially for younger learners.
Lessons work best when the child is willing to participate and the tutor is allowed to guide the class. If participation or behavior repeatedly prevents learning, we will discuss with the parent whether online lessons are currently a good fit.
9. Materials and Recording
EnglishGen normally provides suitable digital materials. Families will be consulted before any separate purchase is recommended.
Neither the family nor the tutor should record, photograph or publicly share a lesson without prior agreement. Lesson materials are for the student’s personal learning use.
10. Communication and Feedback
Parents may contact us about progress, goals, scheduling or concerns. We provide observations after the trial and brief practical feedback as lessons continue.
Important schedule or policy changes will be communicated directly whenever they affect current students.
