Your Family’s Information Is Treated With Care

This policy explains what information EnglishGen collects, why we use it and the choices available to parents and guardians.

Last updated: September 9, 2026. EnglishGen provides private online English lessons. Because our students are children, trial requests and account-related communication should be completed by a parent or legal guardian.

1. Information We Collect

When a parent or guardian submits a trial request, we may collect:

  • Parent or guardian name and email address
  • Child’s age, approximate English level, learning goals and interests
  • Country, time zone, preferred lesson length, and available days and times
  • Any additional information voluntarily included in a message

We do not require a child’s full name on the trial request form.

2. Information Collected During Lessons

If a family begins paid lessons, we may keep lesson schedules, attendance information, brief learning or progress notes, parent communications, and payment or transaction records needed to provide the service.

Lessons are not recorded by EnglishGen unless the parent or guardian has agreed in advance.

3. How We Use Information

We use personal information only as reasonably necessary to:

  • Respond to questions and trial requests
  • Recommend a suitable tutor, lesson length and starting plan
  • Arrange, deliver and support lessons
  • Communicate about scheduling, progress, payments or service changes
  • Maintain business records, prevent misuse and protect website security
  • Meet applicable legal or accounting obligations

4. Payments and Service Providers

Payments are processed through PayPal. EnglishGen may receive payment confirmation and basic transaction information, but we do not receive a family’s complete card number, bank-login credentials or PayPal password.

We may use trusted providers for website hosting, email, online lessons, payment processing and website security. These providers receive only the information reasonably needed to perform their services and process it under their own privacy terms.

5. Website Forms, Technical Data and Cookies

The trial request form sends the information provided to EnglishGen by email. To prevent an inquiry from being lost if email delivery fails, a copy may also be stored securely in the password-protected WordPress administration area. The form does not create a public user profile. Website hosting, email-delivery and spam-prevention tools may process technical data such as an IP address, browser or device information, access time, pages requested, delivery logs and security signals needed to prevent automated abuse.

The website may use cookies that are necessary for normal operation, preferences and security. EnglishGen does not sell or rent personal information and does not use children’s information for targeted advertising.

With your consent where required, EnglishGen uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use this website. Google Analytics may process page views, approximate location, browser and device information, referring pages, and interactions such as scrolling and outbound-link clicks. We do not send names, email addresses, form responses, payment information, or other information that directly identifies a person to Google Analytics. You can accept or reject analytics cookies and change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings button.

6. Website Chat

EnglishGen uses Crisp, a service provided by Crisp IM SAS, to offer human-operated website messaging. When a visitor opens or uses the chat, EnglishGen and Crisp may process chat messages, the visitor’s name and email address if provided, and limited technical information such as an IP address, browser or device information, pages visited, and chat timestamps. Crisp may also use cookies or similar browser storage needed to maintain conversations and operate and secure the chat service.

This information is used to answer inquiries, maintain conversation history, prevent abuse and operate the chat service. The chat is not intended for sensitive information. Please do not send a child’s full name, home address, school information, photographs, health information, passwords or payment details. A parent or guardian should use the chat on behalf of a child.

Crisp may process information in countries outside the visitor’s country of residence under its own privacy terms. Visitors who prefer not to use chat may contact EnglishGen through the trial request form or by email.

7. Children’s Privacy

Parents or guardians should submit forms and communicate with us on behalf of children. We collect only the limited information needed to assess learning needs and provide lessons.

If you believe a child submitted personal information without appropriate parental involvement, please contact us so that we can review and, when appropriate, delete it.

8. How Long We Keep Information

We retain information only as long as reasonably needed for inquiries, lessons, communication, security, accounting or legal obligations. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of record and whether a family becomes a student.

When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or securely dispose of it.

9. International Processing

EnglishGen serves families online and may use service providers in different countries. As a result, information may be processed outside the country where a family lives. We limit sharing to what is reasonably necessary to provide and protect the service.

10. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask what personal information we hold, request corrections or deletion, object to or restrict certain uses, or withdraw consent. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

To make a request, contact us through the website. We may need to verify that the request comes from the relevant parent or guardian.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when our services, providers or legal obligations change. The latest revision date will appear at the top of this page. Important changes affecting current families will be communicated when appropriate.
